FITT Lab uses Quinton Q, the Gold standard in cardiac stress testing
Stress testing is the medical standard for diagnosing coronary heart disease (CHD) and to assess the severity of CHD if the condition already exists. You may not be experiencing symptoms or any tell-tale signs of CHD during your normal day-to-day. Your resting heart is not working hard enough to show the impact of narrowed arteries or a heart value issue.
WHAT AM I TESTING?
That your heart is getting enough blood. During the test, your heart rate is monitored for abnormal changes in your heart rate or blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm and any signs of chest pain or shortness of breath, particularly at low levels of exertion during the early phases of the test.
When combined with the complete FITTLab protocol, your cardiac stress test results are considered in the full context of your current state of health and wellbeing. Analysis can lead to more accurate diagnosis so corrective action can begin sooner. If you are not able to exercise as long as you should for your age, there could be many reasons – and a cardiac stress test can help reveal what is truly going on.
Quinton Q-Stress Test System connects proprietary software to a complete 12-lead EKG that are attached to the body. Patients exercise on a treadmill while the work load is systematically increased over the time of the test. Data is collected in real time with the most accurate tracings available, even at high speeds and steep grades.
